Regardless of whether or not this is "terrorism," the fact remains that this was an insane lone wolf who probably did much less damage than he had hoped.

There is no potential response to this. There is a response to shit like 9/11. We can't possibly account for every Tim McVeigh or every Joe Stack. They will always exist, and they will always do terrible things. But we can do things to restrict the effects of Muslim extremists in established terrorism cells.

The situations aren't parallel. And I'm really, really annoyed by the politicization of this by both sides.
