Horrce Goodspeed / Adrian Toomes bouncing back and forth from a Boris Badenov accent to a New Yawk accent to back to Badenov = gold

Jack killing the fuck out of a goon with a fireaxe and then using the guy's corpse to knock the other dude off the ledge and fall to his death = also gold

Freckles coming back tonight = sweet

The setup being kind of a season 1 redux (Jack stops a Presidential assassin) = ehhhh. If this is the last season (probably) it'll have a nice synchronicity with Season 1. I'm sure they'll be a terrorist hijacking at the WTC Ground Zero construction site soon enough.

Chances of the blonde chick's deep dark secret is that she's a Cylon or something = not that high but not out of the realm of possibility for this show. No, really.

The new CTU set-up = kinda slick but also not that functional. Who makes a monitor terminal that's embedded into a glass desk and not at eye level? Random guess: the directors were sick of shooting around computer monitors so they moved it down. Also, why the hell did the interrogation room look like the brig on the Starship Enterprise?

Jack wanting to bail on the whole terrorist fighting gig = makes sense. He's been out of the game since the start of Season 4 fer crissakes but other things drew him back in. I do like how he got back in to help out Chloe and her reasoning that she always does crazy shit for him actually works. The guy owes her quite a lot considering how many times she's been jailed/fired/almost killed due to Jack's actions.

Freddie Prinze Jr. as a CTU agent = whaaa?

Fact that I can't watch eps. 3-4 till I get home and can't read this thread after 8 PM EST = lalalalalalaala, I'm not listening or reading, alalallalaal

I've always loved Freckles but after last night I *really* love Freckles. I'm surprised Jack "I Need A Hacksaw" Bauer would be put off by it, but his "dammit" just shows that he's rolling with it. Also Freckles bringing the sexy to entice the guy was hot.

Great 24 Bad Guy moment: "My youngest son. He was careless."
