i don't know.
and i always thought it was a generally well-known fact that women had higher pain thresholds. I think it's because we know inherently that we may all go through the pain of having birth or something, and that men only have to deal with quick pain like fighting or injuries.

to sum things up: men are superior to women, in every way.

If women have higher "pain thresholds" why do they bitch so much? That's all I'd like to know.

They've earned the right to bitch by dealing with so much pain.

oh but my aunt suggests that you do the paperwork for the epidural even if you don't plan to get one... she didn't plan on one for the 1st kid, but the pain was so bad that she decided tog et it partway through. unfortunately you have to then go through all this paperwork while you're in pain and by the time she got it it was almost too late.
a lot of people start producing milk a month or two before the baby is born. colostrum, anyway. there are ways you can help the production process - massage and stuff. and if the baby is sucking on it, it's pretty much going to come out. my aunt told me (and i've read in numerous books) that if you want your baby to strictly breastfeed, you shouldn't let the hospital give your baby a pacifier or a bottle of any sort.

and yeah, i plan on having an epidural ready if i need one. if i need one being the key words.

and rhino, they bitch so much (well not the ones i know, but apparently every woman you've ever met) b/c they experience more pain than you know of. which is what i've been trying to say this whole time. i'm sure if you suffered through the pain of menstrual cramps or labor, you'd be whining about it too. you whine about everything anyway.

Yes. Men are strangers to the world of pain.
