they're just dumb. six inches of empty space between my items and the dude's in front of me is more than enough to convey that they belong to two different people. it isn't fucking brain surgery.

the best part is when you don't put the divider down and you can just tell it's driving the person in front of you crazy. like, they really want to put the divider there themselves just in case the cashier mistakes my chocolate milk mix as theirs, but they can't bring themselves to do it for one reason or another...be it because they know deep-down inside the plastic divider is total bullshit, or because they don't want to breach standard plastic divider etiquette and do it for me.

Depends on what you are buying. I believe we are pretty comparable on most consumer commodity items.

lol if you go early in the morning, you'll avoid alot of that. most of them aren't up that early because they've sold off their benefits for beer and cigs.

y'know, sometimes i get overpriced groceries at the larger shoppers drug mart (canadian walgreen's) just to get the loyalty points... especially on "bonus points" days :-/

in the summer, we go from store to store getting the best priced deals. but its fucking winter, so it's all the nearest supermarket, all the time.

but this thread is about wal-mart. the closest wal mart to us is always too busy to movie in, cuz it's the only one remotely NEAR downtown. for these needs, i go to zellers (the canadian target, but with less "cool" stuff), which is pretty much usually a ghost town.

i've gone to other places dressed like shit because, y'know, i'm running to a gas stop at 2am for something - it's not a fucking dinner date.

Those dividers are pretty necessary over here. Supermarkets are crowded at all time and if you have space in between your groceries then you are just wasting it and holding up the line. I envy those who live in less populated areas
