Another Paul problem (don't read if you don't care, please)

Anyways, so things have been going smoothly with the break up/me moving out except one thing.

I should be moved out on Saturday, if all goes well.

Basically he's kept me up talking and bothering me til 4am every night this week when I have work at 8am. He starts fights with me and acts like the biggest asshole I know.

So here's the deal, last night he finally broke down in tears and told me that he still loves me, cares about me, etc. I told him that it doesn't matter anymore because its too little too late. I made it clear to him that we are over.

He said that the only reason he's being such an asshole is because he wants me to react, and if I react in a negative way, that gives him a reason to hate me. If he hates me, its easier to kick me out and not get so emotional about it.

It makes sense, I guess, but I don't play that bullshit. I've been ignoring him and his ploys to piss me off.

Now there lies one more problem that kinda leads off of this.

My parents gave us a few things as house warming presents such as:

dishes
tools
a computer
a DVD/DVD-R/etc/etc player w/RF unit, cables, etc
$1000

So I already told him he can have his half of the $1000 my step dad gave us, I already said he can have the computer, the DVD player, etc only totals up to about $120, the dishes are only about $80, and the tools are about $60-80. I want the those things, thats nowhere near what his computer is worth. I feel that I should be able to keep those things because I'm being nice enough to give him those things, I'm also giving him a desk and a coffee table. When I leave, those are about the only things he will have besides his mop and broom, so he won't have many things, but he's trying to get technical about everything.

Am I wrong for wanting the dishes, tools, and the DVD unit? Should I just say fuck it and just give them to him and save the argument? Or are they rightfully mine, considering my parents gave them to me and I shared them with him. Is that wrong on my part?

I'm just wondering if all this arguing is even worth it. I want this over as soon as possible, so I'm just thinking I should give up and say fine Paul, keep it. Its not worth it.

Also, I'm going to have to leave my furniture in the apartment until next weekend, so he may try to destroy some of my furniture, so I think I'm just going to let him have what he wants and be done with it.

BUT I REALLY WANT THOSE DISHES!!!! =(

See thats what I was thinking, but isn't that kind of pointless? I mean why start shit, cuz I know that'll start shit, or should I at least wait til I move my furniture out of the house next weekend?

All my friends are basically telling me they're going to come in and get my shit out for me. Hopefully things should go fine. I am going to take everything.

My friends are saying that I should keep the $500 also, but I think that's a little extreme, he needs that money for rent.

Then again he's the one giving me 3 days to move out.

I dunno. I think I'll leave him with the $500, but take everything else.
