so i need a new laptop. i can only get toshiba or compaq, because those are the only brands i get a discount on through my work. the ones im looking at are the compaq AQ EVO 800v notebook and the toshiba satellite TE2100.
i have no real idea though, so please someone help me. the only things i really want it for are d/ling music and burning cds, watching dvds and probably at some stage loading my photography from a digital camera. im no good at computer stuff, can you tell? |

IBM makes the best laptop of them all, the T40 is an outstanding model, fast, has the combo-DVD/CD-Rw drive, and very thin. How much are you looking to spend? I was a computer technition for three years, and am authorized to work on all three brands. IBM>compaq>toshiba. Anything in the IBM line is great, compaq is just as great, i've just seen more repairs on them than IBM's, and Toshiba's i've seen more repairs of them than 2x IBM + compaq combined. so stay away from them if your pocketbook permits
