Animal Crackers

Let's not concern ourselves any further with the terminology. Everybody knows they should be "Animal Cookies". It's entirely natural that they shoudl be. Natural like the subtle rich flavor of the animal cracker. Everythig about the animal cracker is phenomenal. Its texture, its shape, its dynamic qualities, the various ways you can devour animal crackers. I am in love.

The reasoning behind that is that animal crackers have pretty much the same ingredients as graham crackers.

The ones with icing have gelatin in them. I was unaware of this until I grabbed the bag to eat one and noticed it. While I normally think they're gross, at the time I wanted one and was disappointed at the discovery that prevented me from eating them.

man I love animal crackers. Especially the ones that come in the little box that looks like a train car with a bunch of tigers/elephants/etc in it and has the little string handle. Those things are great. I think I'm going to go buy some now. Or maybe those iced ones.

And I like calling them Animal Crackers. Animal cookies just sounds wrong. Probably because it's just unfamiliar, but animal cookies sound like cookies for animals, you know? Or wild, crazy cookies or something.

the frosted ones taste waxy/soapy. but the plain ones ae yummy. especially dipped in hot cocoa.
