Default The Office

Sunday's episode was probably the worst in the entire series.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. The whole fake movie b-plot was just stupid and so obviously a reason just to get a few movie stars on the show. Also, Dwight starting a fire in the office and not being fired? Give me a break.

It's been going downhill for a while, but that steaming pile of shit was unbelievable.

Andy's song was good ... and that's really about it.

i don't know, it didn't seem like that much of a leap. it was a kind of pointless way to talk about pam's parents, but it didn't strike me as just a reason to get movie stars on the show.

yeah, in REAL LIFE, he would have been fired, but trying to apply logic to most of this show is kinda futile. the random absurdity is sometimes the best part.

also, the michael roast was classic awkward office humor, c'mon. as was creed's defensive "what's a text?" line. andy's song was kinda just OK and how Dwight got Phyllis to sign his apology was hilariously Dwight-like.

and come on, "meredith, you've slept with so many guys, you're starting to look like one"? priceless.

i thought it was great. the show is still pretty funny if you don't expect it to reach the same level as season 2/3

the opening sequence with dwight starting the fire and everyone's reactions was hillarious.

after that it took a turn for the worse.

True, but they'd be more apt to fire a temp. Plus he started a fire and then they promoted the hell out of him

They made a fake movie just so they could stick them in there. I can understand wanting to talk about Pam's parents but the whole Andy / movie thing just seemed stupid.

I know it is a television show but it used to be a lot more believable than it is now. It is sort of doing what Family Guy did - it used to be a show with a plot and occasional non-sensical interludes but now it seems like the other way around. I can understand them wanting to do new stuff but I am not liking the newer episodes nearly as much as the older ones.

I think you're forgetting the most important part: He started the fire by accident.

the fake movie bits did feel terribly out of place. aside from that, good episode.

i liked it. yeah, the dwight stuff was over the top and kind of dumb. the b-movie thing was kind of a waste of time. but overall, i found it really enjoyable
