Default Oh noes! The Pumpkins aren't going to be able to vote!

I dunno how the American advance vote system works, or maybe voting the day of involves voting online or using smoke signals or whatever, but the mighty SP is playing a show in Toronto Canada on the 4th, the day of the U.S. election - and they're also going to play the day before too. So what about their civic duty?

Realistically speaking, I'm sure Billy and Jeff will have it all squared away in advance, Jimmy will probably go with whoever is pushing the pro-drummer/heroin agenda, Ginger will definitely vote McCain because she was in a Christian Ska Band, loves Jesus and hates partial birth abortions, and Lisa looks like a hippie so she'll probably not vote, and instead plant a tree and do trust falls or something.

But what about the tour crew? The roadies? My God, the roadies - the great unwashed and unsung heroes of any tour, doesn't anyone care about their vote?

Actually, I'm kind of hoping Billy will update the U.S. vote situation before they do an encore that day so I can get an update. That'd be sweet. A rant by about politics by foreign citizen on foreign soil is always alot of fun in the middle of a rock show.

This is all assuming that they're registered U.S. voters/citizens and not communists in disguise.

I think Monte took Ugly's tongue-in-cheek post seriously. (At least I think it was quite tongue-in-cheek. I worry for Ugly if it is not.)

P.S. Billy probably thinks he's doing his civic duty by not voting.

One CAN vote for a 3rd party, or cast a blank vote.

Anyone who believes in the voting system (or government in general) needs to do some research outside of the glass box. It actually takes very little to know its bullshit from top to bottom. Obama is related to Cheney and Bush both, so its not like they are looking outside of the box for these "change agents"...and McCain has always been NWO puppet. Its all a game of "Good Cop Bad Cop". You are essentially controlled by elite bloodlines your entire lives without even knowing or caring to know, as long as the game is still on (or the Pumpkins are playing shows for that matter) you eat up the bullshit and all is well.

Just like the issues they push. "manmade global warming" and other bullshit. Think outside the box for a second (the galaxy even)...Dark rift, 2012, all that stuff is not bullshit. The solar system is heading through the core of the galaxy, which uh...tends to be just a "tad" hotter

Yet..."you're killing polar bears with that big SUV...here's a new carbon tax hidden amongst 500 pages of bailout bullshit".

Timewave Zero. Tightening like a noose.

For who? Ron Paul, the disinfo agent? You'd be better off casting an order for a Big Mac on the 4th.

I agree, the 3rd party options are laughable, I'm just saying that a blank vote is more of a protest vote than not voting since it is not just added in with the abstention bunch. I'd imagine Billy voting, at least a blank ballot, but participating in the democratic process rather than being completely apathetic.

I think I heard him make a Palin joke at the Spike Awards, though, right?

humm Hi everybody, I'm new and french..

what the hell are you all saying ?, you scaring me...

Ginger is against absortion, she is a pro-Palin (or McCain) ???
Is it a joke or...

I don't get it.

What I kwow is L.Strawberry that work with the band, is a pro Obama and an anti Palin.

Personnally I never heard Corgan saying that he is for a particular side, maybe he has his own idea but won't tell it.

I hardly imagine him being for Bush or Mc Cain.... (well I hope no, not saying he should be for Obama too... but)

i remember at that interview/poetry reading thing he did in san fran in october 2004 ("in conversation with"), someone asked billy if people should vote for kerry or bush. can't remember exactly what he said, but it was something along the lines of he wouldn't tell anyone who to vote for, he wasn't voting himself because the system is flawed and he didn't want to support the system/buy into it... then eventually he said okay obviously if you're going to vote at all, vote for kerry!

You are still scared, be honest.

Also remember Kids that even the mentally retarded like Monte get a vote, so you have to counter whatever bad decisions he makes

No I'm absolutely not scared of german people, like most of french people...we are still scared about nazi etc..but there're some on every country now so...it's has no more to do with germany..anyway it's not the subject.
I told I'm french to make a short introduction, since I'm new...and to tell the reason of my poor english.
and when I said I was scared it was about what all you say here, in that tread, that :Ginger is against absortion etc...I don't know if you're jocking or not
It was a way of talking, nothing else...

sorry if I get missunderstood

I think Ugly was taking the piss. By his Logic Billy would also vote for Mccain due to being a god nut. I'm also not aware of a party with a pro-heroin agenda

i didn't read all of this thread, someone may have already said this. but billy's made a point to say, several times, that he doesn't vote.

which is pretty lame of him, by the way.

its just an interesting thing to think about because zeitgeist had some very vague, political influences that really didn't say much. but still, he seemed at least a little disgruntled about the state of the country. i think he votes obama.
