I've never done it before so its pretty exciting.

Got all 7 chaos emeralds through sonic 3.. I'm just starting on the sonic+knuckles stages and got 1 super emerald... the room with the master emerald looks awesome

i used to play that shit on a Sega CDX with the 32X and a game genie, stacked three cartridges high. it looked a little ridiculous. using the 32X with the CDX wasn't even approved at by the fcc.

this is the most interesting thread on netphoria

have you ever gotten hyper tails? he has these awesome little birds that just follow him around and kill everything. its the best thing ever.

tails was always my favorite character, whenever id play sonic 3 with a friend id love playing as tails and fucking up sonic by picking him up and dropping him places. ive had stuffed tails and knuckles in my backseat for a few years now.

did anyone get fucked up in that casino level with that one bullshit rotating thing that was impossible to get through until you fucking realized years later all you had to do was press up and down

When my friend and I played as Tails and Sonic, the game suddenly became about Tails being this hero worshipping psycho who kept following Sonic around, and the goal was to get Sonic going so fast that Tails was left behind for as long as possible

I stopped playing this game cause i couldn't figure it out for a while and gave up... when i started playing again and finally tried just pressing up and down i felt like such a moron.

I haven't gotten super tails but I'm more than likely gonna go for it right after i beat the game

The funny thing is I actually got through after several days of trying to jump in the right rhythm, and just made it to the end of the level before the time ran out. It was an awesome feeling.
Then I felt really dumb when somebody told me you just had to push up and down

Anyway, yeah Hyper Sonic was awesome, especially when you had no idea it was going to happen. I just thought I had to re-earn Super Sonic again.
Damn I miss this game.

congrats, getting all the emeralds is a pain. the 3D game in sonic 3 and sonic & knuckles was a lot harder than the collect the coins one in sonic 2. it was a pain in the original game too from what i can remember but who gives a fuck when you cant become supersonic. in smash bros brawl and they really nailed sonic i thought. his special move is supersonic and it looks incredible. but hes not a very powerful character or anything.

a few years ago i played a flash game of sonic that was online and had an urge to play it on genesis again. i looked around my house for 3 days and found everything but the chord that goes from the tv to the genesis, then i borrowed a friend's and just played nonstop. there's also a pretty cool ds game that i played a little of, maybe i should play that game..

i love having the time to play through sonic 3 & sonic and knuckles all in a sitting. do you guys remember the sonic & knuckles commercial that came out that winter season?

im pretty sure im going to whip out the genesis again because of this thread
