uh, i just opened the boards and i had a nice plugin-installation screen asking me if i wanted to install gator. that sucks.

Make sure you check the box to "always trust Gator" or you won't get the really cool features.

Tools>Internet Options>Security, click on Internet and press the Custom Level button - then disable 'Download unsigned ActiveX controls' and 'Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe'. As a bonus, click on the Restricted Sites icon, press the Sites button and add '*.gatorcorporation.com' to the list.

I get an activex warning popup on here all the time, but of course it doesn't run. It's just some of the banner ads - they actually run scripts these days =/
