it's a very good game, but as stated before by a very credible games publication, "chrono trigger is only a paperback novel in comparison to Final Fantasy 6's hardback"

or something to that effect..

it's just a shallower game.. still excellent though.
Akira Toriyama and Squaresoft are a winning combination."
