Wanted *is* an R-rated action movie, which is a true rarity these days, but it looks like a piss-poor adaptation of Mark Millar and J.G. Jones' supremely badass comic. Where's the guy made of crap called "Shit Head" and the Bizzaro clone called "Fucktard"?

Just saw Love Guru, and it was pretty bad. I did laugh at Timberlake & Venre Troyer (French stereotypes and pissed off midgets are fucking comedy gold, I tells ya), but the weakest link in the movie is Mike Myers who consistently manages to bomb in every 9 out of 10 jokes. The movie also had that stupid fucking British dude who sucks on the Daily Show and sucks balls here, too. Seeing the Leafs win the cup was cool, though (something that'll only happen in fiction), and I did like how the motto of the former owner of the Maple Leafs "We'll get 'em next time." Myers does love the Leafs, though, so points for that.

But, yeah, bad movie. The fucking climax is two elephants fucking, and that is not as nearly as funny as it would seem.

How I'd rank the summer movies (May to now) from best to worst would be: Indiana Jones > Iron Man > Incredible Hulk = You Don't Mess With the Zohan > Speed Racer = Chronicles of Narnia = The Love Guru > The Strangers

They shouldn't have advertised it so much. I think the more people saw of it, the less funny they realized it was going to be.

Just saw Get Smart. It was alright (see the Movie thread for my full review).

Side Note: I usually think Anne Hathaway is fugly, but she looked kinda pretty in that movie.

My friends saw The Love Guru this weekend...said it was enjoyable. I'll rent it when it comes out on DVD.

Zohan was the best movie Sandler has done in, like, a decade. Sure, it isn't Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore, but it had a loose, cartoon, Loney Tunes style to it that made it fun. Iron Man was great, I don't dispute that, but it was YET... ANOTHER... FUCKING... SUPERHERO ORIGIN MOVIE!!! That shit is played out. And The Strangers sucked because the entire movie was these douchebags in masks fading in and out of the darkness and, once in awhile, banging on the doors. That shit got played out within 15 minutes. The movie is an hour and a half long. And what in the everloving fuck was all that domestic drama bullshit at the start of the movie.... did that have any effect at all (aside from a singular glance at the end). And the ending was needlessly sadistic. Absolute bullshit, and saying at the beginning of the movie that "this film is based on true events" is insulting the audience. Horrible trash, fuck that movie.

I don't care if the "superhero origin" meme is done to death or not; Iron Man was well-done. Indiana Jones was a weak, non-sensical borefest that was borderline terrible. And get off the freaking pipe Ugly, Zohan was downright awful.
