somewhere in Arkansas. I cried for a couple of minutes. It's the worst feeling ever.

it was pouring rain here the other night. i went out for a drive and there were frogs everywhere. all over the streets. i was pretty hard to miss them because i was literally trying to avoid multiple frogs at a time and eventually said fuck it.

there's flattened frog carcasses all over the street in front of my house.

I've pulled over and saved about 10 turtles after rainstorms up here. I take them to the creek and set them freeeee

running over turtles must suck...with the shell cracking and what not.

Here's my head count (these were accidents):

- Rabbit - Ran him over right across the ribs, he was struggling in pain for about 5 seconds before death. It was kind of upsetting

- Squirrel - It was a clear head shot, the body remained completely unscathed so the corpse looked pretty bad ass on the road, the head was just demolished,.. instant death.

I ran over a squirrel on the way to the store the other day. I tried my best to avoid it but the little fucker didn't scamper when I slowed down like the others normally do. I looked in my rear view mirror and he was all flat except for his tail, which was sticking straight up. :/

I ran over a possum but I couldn't even remotely see it. I was going around a curve and it actually ran out at the precise time to get run over by my back tires and not my front, almost after I passed it. The next day it was gone, might have been playing possum but I thought I'd killed it.

I ran over a rabbit late one night and heard it's skull crack. I was flipping out and felt terrible. A guy friend of mine that was in the car with me just burst out laughing and said "YOU RAN OVER A FUCKIN RABBIT!"

I've never personally hit an animal, but once on a family road trip when I was a kid my father hit a bird. It was raining and it slammed into the windshield and somehow got stuck under the wiper for a few seconds, it was staring at us and smearing blood all over the glass. It was a scarring experience.

i had a similar experience. my dad hit a bird. there was no blood but he pulled over to see the bird and held it upside down by its feet. it was still chirping. i said that we should take it to the animal hospital, he said that it would die anyway and threw it in the ditch.

i also stepped on a frog once.
