i just got into Lost this season.. I went on ABC website and watched all the other seasons to get up to date..

A lot of the early shows are character builders. Not really too much info till the 2nd season, and from there its just a little info here, a little info there.

i suggest you watch it. it will make you appreciate the show that much more

there's a 9 minute video on the official lost site the summarizes the first 3 seasons rather aptly. However, it doesn't cover the characters' backstories.

I don't think LOST can be appreciated for the awesomeness that it is unless you watch from the very start and avoid all spoilers. Jumping on board by watching season 4 episodes and trying to catch up is utter madness I tells thee! Stop watching/reading and buy/download the season 1/2/3 DVDs.
