Unless they want to bring in Henry Winkler to reprise his role as the Fonz to participate in another beach day activity that includes a waterskiing stunt involving a carnivorous fish.

Good call, I thought the writers would be more original than to keep that dead uninteresting storyline dragging on.

well that certainly was something. i found it highly enjoyable, with the exception of the andy thing at the end. i loved the storyline with kevin. the jan thing was kind of creepy, same with the dwight/angela thing. the ryan thing was weird. uh.. ok i guess in hindsight there are several things i didn't quite like, but i found myself laughing a ton and enjoying it on the whole.

got to second eulogy, it'd be a shame if they have something like a botched proposal cause a breakup. though that does kind of seem to be the way things turn out in the show

ah, this is basically what iw as trying to say (in the quote below) without realizing it. i really enjoyed all the incidental stuff, it was awesome. just the major, abrupt plot movements they crammed in there this episode were a bit much

I like how they've humanized michael scott and made him interact with a woman without being a tool.. something he didn't do with Jan or the woman before Jan. It was refreshing. And I agree wc, the Kevin thing was the funniest thing they've done in a loong time.

i think the whole 4th season has been really mediocre, i watched the last few eps at once and those were probably the best of the season, the finale was cool.

That was probably mostly due to the writer's strike.

but he was a tool - he did all of the lame things everyone in the office always hates, like the song for toby, and she loved it. it was the juxtaposition of here's a girl he really likes who likes him when he's being himself, and he chooses to go back to jan to raise a baby that isn't his

I guess you're right with that analysis, but I did see some restraint and a little more self-awareness than he's ever displayed. He also didn't jump at the chance to go to dessert, which was cool. I don't think he'll end up with Jan.

I totally called Andy proposing to Angela. At least I remember doing so. Otherwise it was an alright finale. I used to be really into this show but after a so-so start to this season my interest has waned. The 30 Rock season finale was pretty awesome though.

I think the only restraint he showed was the halted "that's what she said." Also i think he was clueless about the fact that she was hinting at an invitation.
