I'm running vmware fusion on my machine. It's very stable and fast, haven't had any problems so far...

cool i might try it then. are games playable with it? and do you know if you can run it off the bootcamp installation or something? what i mean is, i already have windows installed and am wondering if i have to get rid of that partition and install a new one for fusion

I'm pretty sure my brother uses the vmware thing, if that's the one where you can scroll between Windows and Mac without restarting. it works very smoothly but you can't do something that uses a lot of CPU. if you want to play games use Parallels or Bootcamp, which I use.

i have bootcamp but i hate restarting to use it. if playing games on fusion is an impossibility then i just won't bother i think. i don't really have any other reason to use windows generally

you can use your bootcamp partition with either parallels or fusion. I've heard games are playable, I have a macbook so I don't play any games on this computer though. If you just want to use it to game, I think you'll be better using bootcamp.

My friends all use Parallels, but I like Fusion for the Unified option.

I use Parallels, the most recent version is totally worthwhile... early versions were kind of crap. If you want to do any gaming, Boot Camp is your best option and CrossOver being a close second (with limited title support) http://www.codeweavers.com/products/

I only check things i've made in IE6/7 so its fairly lightweight on the computer. I haven't used Fusion, but Parallels has everything I need.

Word, bootcamp for games. Virtual PC software doesn't use the hardware to its fullest.
