Default On cloves

So I had my first bout with cloves last night and I still feel sick. I really enjoy pipes and enjoy a casual smoke. But those cloves... they are pretty intense. I was buzzed like mad and was pretty wobbly all night. Are cloves that intense or am I just weak? I won't do any more for a year or so, crazy.

I smoke cloves very occasionally, but they don't bother me like that. What cigs do you normally smoke?

I think if you do like, Parliament Lights or Marb Lights or something like that regularly, then cloves might bother you. This one little convenience store place that had a smoking section actually asked my friend to put out his clove because it was making one of their workers sick.

Yeah, it's just like that with some I guess. I smoke Marb Reds, but I can't even look at any fucking Camel cigarette without getting all green at the gills.

Yea, see, i never smoke cigs... only pipes and cigars (and those on rare occasions). I just smoked some clove cigs and they blew me away... I had a lot of trouble handling them...

Cloves are disgusting. My boss smokes them just like a regular cigarette smoker would. I think I might start smoking them, just to get me to quit.

I like 'em occasionally. I used to smoke them regularly. Djarum changed them dramatically about a year and a half ago, and I don't like the new ones nearly as much.

I hear they are strong enough to make one's lungs bleed. Is this true?

There's a lot of misinformation. No, I don't believe this to be true. I think the main reason you felt ill is that you're not a regular smoker. If you were, it wouldn't have been a big deal. They probably wouldn't have affected you as much as a cigar would, if you inhaled it.

edit: maybe instead of saying "yes" i should just say that i can't be too sure. but i knew a guy who smoked them like cigarettes until one day he started coughing up blood. he had been smoking them for a year and a half.
i used to smoke cloves all the time, i loved those things. they never made me sick or anything. but then after a while my chest started feeling really heavy all the time. i don't know if it was the cloves or just panic attacks, but i stopped smoking them after that anyway.
now the thought of smoking one makes me feel all.... shaky i guess you could say. they are too intense for me now.

exactly. it also depends on how many you smoked. did you chain smoke them? because that would make any non smoker, and even some smokers, sick. you are inhaling smoke after all.

I usualy am gentle with a cigar and then do a lot of inhalation at the end for a buzz.. but those cloves just knocked me for a loop... oh well

Do NOT inhale cloves!

gah. The smoke in cloves is barbed, like asbestos, and it sticks in your lungs and really tears them up. I know many people who smoked cloves (some inhalers, and some not) who started caughing up blood after a long period (like a year or more) of time.

Cloves are yummy, but you do NOT inhale, and you do not do it for a long long time..

that's my input.

I honestly don't think cloves are for buzzes, but whatever, just having the smoke in your mouth would do it, absobtion through your uhm.. mouth-skin...

hm. well if THAT's the case, inhale all you want, once or twice a year isn't gunna kill you at all.

the barby things in the smoke are biodegradable as asbestos is not. so after time it does go away. but when it's there it causes harm
