is paragliding the one where you're attatched to a boat? or is that hangliding? whichever one it is, it's nice but not worth that much. The view is great but it's just really quiet and calm and not a big deal.

Sorry, I'm not cool enough to have done the other two yet.

that'd be parasailing.

I think it's paragliding too. Parascending is where you parachute down a mountain, and hang-gliding is where you hang from the triangle and ride the air currents

Go jump out of a plane, Shannon

hmm, parasailing would be pulled by a boat and you're strapped into a parachute type setup w/ the hole in the middle.

i guess paragliding is just a different setup but still being pulled by a boat.

that's what i really want to do. i've always wanted to skydive...never really wanted to bungee jump for fear i'll break my neck/back etc and i'd probably piss myself due to the jerking motions...

I've been parasailing and bungee jumping. I don't remember how much the parasailing cost. Three of us went at the same time. I went while in the Outer Banks in NC. It was nothing really exciting. It's not exactly a wild ride or anything. But, it was a pretty neat way to check out the coastline. I went bungee jumping in Germany. I think the cost converted to about $40 dollars. It was DEFINITELY worth it. I highly recommend bungee jumping. It was an amazing experience.

Parasailing isn't that expensive at the Outer Banks, and while it's not wild, it's so serene and lovely. I'm biased, because I think North Carolina is a gorgeous state and the Outer Banks one of its best parts, but I would recommend it.

i'll be skydiving sometime this summer. i sorta had plans to a few weeks back but things didn't work out.

jumping solo requires extra training, i think it comes out to around $250-$300. if you jump tandem w/ a coach/trainer or whatever, it was only around $150-ish. but how could you jump and only half-ass it? gotta go solo.

I got some skydiving training as a h.s. graduation gift a few years ago, and I'd have to say its the most exhilarating thing i've ever done...better than sex, hands down...well maybe. I did 3 solo jumps, and plan on getting my own stuff and going back for more once i can afford it. It's more expensive to get started in but I'd go with it anyway, just watch that first step, it's a doooozy. Seriously though, jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is one of those zen-like moments where you just have to kinda square everthing away, swallow hard, and take a step....it's cool as all hell.

Oh price wise guz was right on, and then if you want to do more jumps it gets cheaper once you have the training and what not, totally worth every $ too.

I've gone parasailing in Cozumel, which was peaceful and nice. the only thing was that it didn't seem very secure. The only thing connecting me and the boat was an old rope and if it broke i'd fall 200 feet to an ocean filled with jellyfish.
I went skydiving with my mom last year for my birthday. I think it was $200 or so. It was the scariest thing I've ever done and I will never do it again. I'm glad I did it but I still get scared just thinking about what the ground looks like from 14000 feet above. my mom loved it.
