i know i've posted about this before

but i have a very, very strange relationship with creepy spiders and insects. i think they are the coolest fucking things ever. but i cannot deal with them if they are around me indoors or...whenever i'm sitting or lying down. if i'm standing up and can walk away or know that i have the ability to stomp on the motherfucker then i'm totally ok.

a few months back there was MASSIVE cockroach in my roommate's guitar case. he tapped me on the shoulder and was like "hey, look at this." and he had the case standing up with that fucker sitting in it and i flipped the fuck out.

i want to observe them while knowing they can't touch me. like i want one of those giant centipedes or a tarantula as a pet. but if it ever got out somehow and i saw the cage/tank open and empty i'd probably just kill myself. or move out and leave all my shit.

spiders scare me so much. i want to puke just looking at this thread.
I also have an irrational fear of wasps that makes me run around flailing my arms whenever one comes near. it's a little embarrassing.

Looking at those vids Eulogy posted makes me wonder how the hell Billy got "Tarantula" out of "I don't want to fight, every single night, everything I want is in your eyes."

It is even more of a headscratcher than Mayonaise.

I do not like spiders. Nope. But I don't get nasty poisonous ones in the house. If they're little house spiders, I'll take them outside and fling them.. Roaches? I scream and run around and flail my arms- it's ridiculous.. I've been told that it's fun to watch though.

My mom told me that when she was little, she went to her Aunt's house in the country and was out in the woods and wandered into a giant cul de sac of JUMPING SPIDER webs. UGH. She said they were bigger than her hand and there were about 10 of them.

I seriously would've shit myself.

I would see at least 40 a day just walking to work and they got in the house... it was horrible.

yeah that shit makes me freak the fuck out. no way. there's scary living slimy things in the water, sharks, barracuda, pike, snapping turtles.

EEeesssh. It is irrational, though. I think they call it agoraphobia or something, fear of open water.

Way too fat to do wakeboarding man. If I'm in a river I'm in an inntertube drinking a beer.

Agoraphobia is fear of open spaces/crowds etc. I believe the agora is the market or town square in greek, equivalent to the latin "forum".

Hydrophobia probably. Although you might be right with agoraphobia cause it does also mean open spaces and you did say open water.

I'm not even sure if that's a real phobia but if it exists it means fear of the sea.

Thalassophobia! That for sure is fear of the sea. I don't think there is fear of open water, it really might just be agoraphobia after all cause of the open spaces thing.
