the other day this bitch was talking shit to me on the phone for about a minute before i realized she's trying to sell

I work at the 'best Austrian call center', and I'm not especially proud of it. It's inbound calls only, though, so it's not that bad.

i worked at an outbound call centre where i'd wake up really early and call manchester business in a foolhardy attepmt to sell phone packages. poor british people where just trying to go about their work day and after they said they wernt interested id still have to rebutt them 3 times. i drank alot during my brief stint there. the only good thing about sales is that you can talk about anything to keep them on the line. i had some pretty cool conversations.

more recently i worked activating cell phones for at&t. they were nice. at the same call centre we did number transfers for people switching to vonage. vonage customers are very angry people. emotions ran high on those calls. some people even wanted me dead. sometimes i had to sort of fillabuster the call we'd both just be talking...vonage is terrible company with terrble customer service...at first it was awful, but after awhile you just dont care and the calls could be hilarious.

if it is an outbound call centre it will be one of the worst experiences of your life even if you're just there for two minutes.

if it is an inbound call centre you're still going nowhere in life but it'll be one of the easiest jobs you ever had and you can board all day long.

Ha that's exactly what I do... I call people and tell them they've been selected as finalists in a car/cash giveaway.... then we make the idiots drive two hours to a resort to take a tour, try a key, but no one ever wins. I love it.

They usually walk away with a five dollar camera and a duck picture.
