i don't think it turns turquoise unless there's like a forest fire somewhere to make the air between you and the moon get funky.

it would have been ideal to have ventured away to somewhere cool and away from city lights for this, but i couldn't

I'm so mad! I went to my class and we ran late then by the time I left I totally forgot. I missed it, like I miss every space related event.

How was it at the planetarium, Thomas? I don't think I could've made it out there anyway, but damn I would've at least liked to look at it from my porch or something, take some pictures.

it was beautiful. i was a little surprised by how many people were there, tho. when the last one happened, i went with a few friends and there were maybe 10 other people there. we hung out, looked through telescopes that some guys had all set up. it was really laid back. but this time, the place was buzzing. there were news vans there, three lines for little telescopes, a forty minute wait for the big one, and it was cold as fuck. but i sat out a little ways from crowd and just stared up at the moon. it sounds corny, but it was kind of magical.

those are pretty good. i tried fucking with the camera settings and the best i managed has probably already been posted. i was jenius and went out at the most convenient hour but lost the will to wait to move close over time.
