Jehovah's Witnesses often reject birthdays as "pagan" and will therefore refuse to participate in them. In addition to this, Witnesses also reject birthdays because they claim that they are placed in an unfavourable light in the Bible. The Bible only mentions two instances of birthdays (at least explicitly). These are Genesis 40:20-22, and Matthew 14:6-10. Two pagan rulers are in view: Pharaoh and Herod.

The Watchtower states, in the Reasoning book:

"Do Bible references to birthday celebrations put them in a favourable light? The Bible makes only two references to such celebrations...Jehovah's Witnesses take note that God's Word reports unfavourably about birthday celebrations and to shun these." (Reasoning from the Scriptures, pp. 68-69).

Jehovah's Witnesses argue that as negative things happened on these men's birthdays, then all birthdays must be evil. This is clearly a case of guilt by association as far as the Watchtower is concerned.

The most important holiday in Satanism is one's own birthday, as it is the birthdate of one's own god. This is as a reminder that to a Satanist, you are the most important being in the universe, and to honor your own vital existence and your life. LaVey recommends that a Satanist celebrate their own birthday in any way they choose, with as much pomp and ceremony as they see fit. The Satanic celebration of the birthday can also be seen as a mockery of the holidays commemorating the birth of various gods or saints in other religions.

what about that big old line that goes straight through four blocks of buildings. it's a bit reaching. i'm sure you could find similar if not complete street layouts in the form of a star or pentagram.

its just of interest because most presidents have been freemasons (satan worshipers), and a freemason architect designed the street layout of what pretty much is a pentagram, with its point at the whitehouse. it's not 100% complete but it was no mere coincidence.
