Not at all.

Look at Sigur Rós. I don't know what any of those songs titles mean (well, the ones' that have names at least!), and that doesn't hinder a thing for me.

same here, I love Sigur Ros but I have no idea what any of the tracks names are. I guess that helps with the mysteriousness of the band

i actually like not knowing what sigur ros sing about
it adds even more to their already alien-ish sound.
i think their choice to sing in scat singing (hopelandic) is the best decision they made as a band
and perhaps one of the best decisions by a band, ever
