So I'm doing a project for German class on Einstürzende Neubauten. I need to know how to say "noise-music" in German. Would it just be Geräusch Musik? Or is there some other term for it

No, seriously - I don't think that in this case you'd translate it all the way - I guess it would be simply die Noise Musik.

noise and music or noise music as a genre? there's a few different ways to get the point across, depending what point you're trying to get across with those two words.

i wouldnt call Einstürzendenoise. they're industrial. but thats just me.

i think the translation is arschficken but you need to ask the teacher if thats right to be sure.

1) Neubauten are the industrial band. Noise? Are you mental? Blixa Bargeld pretty much invented the genre.
2) You wouldn't say Geräusch- or Lärmmusik - "Noise" [or: "Noise-Musik"] is fine.

yes, you read Noise quite often in german texts, but since it's for German class it might not be appropriate and/or your teacher doesn't know that it's being used in German.
