I still haven't seen a single episode of this because I have an addictive personality. Same goes with 24.

I just remember thinking all last season that at some point they would join up with the others to fight some new group. Looks like just basically a big setup to have a whole new set of mysteries and drag the show out for another 2 seasons.

well, JJ abrams said after season 2 (i think) that he's got enough storyboard material to keep the audience going 'huh' for 3 or 4 years

asshole

It's pretty easy when you just drag the story out. Lets face it you could have cut the entire first half of last season.

no, I have a friend who hates the show and the 'morons' who get sucked into it. He is pretty militant about it...and a bit of a douche

I'm a bit of a douche as well, maybe that's the problem. But anything after the pilot just didn't 'suck me in'.

The second half was hit or miss. The second season was the best. I keep hoping they will get back on track but I doubt it. Last season was to much:

"GIVE ME THE ANSWERS"
"Sorry you not ready for the answers"
With the occasional "Hey look I"m in a room full of answers, guess I'll just walk out and not look at anything" thrown in for good measure.

It's one thing to use what I call the never ending cliff hanger, but it's another thing to just keep it going in such a dumb fashion. Hopefully this year there will be more action and not as much feet dragging.

Last season would have been amazing if they had done it in this 16 episode format. They could have trimmed the fat and gotten down to business.

At least when it starts going again it will run straight through without those multiple long hiatus's.

At least for the eight episodes that are completed...after that it depends on the writers' strike.

Yeah, it's definitely not going to be an uninterrupted run at this point. Lindelof is a bit pissed. Here's an article about how much it's going to suck when episode eight ends on a huge cliffhanger:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/show...fans-look.html

“The audience just needs to be warned,” Cuse said. “There’s a very cool cliffhanger at the end of the eighth episode. But most of the major questions were designed to get answered at the second half of the season. The whole idea that we’re actually looking forward as well as looking back is something we’re very excited about as storytellers. But there is a fear that if the strike continues and we’re not able to complete the season, that people might feel a little frustrated because those eight episodes aren’t conclusive.”

Also, check out that last shot, with the title. Island above, city in the water's reflection. I know this is churning up all kinds of frenzied speculation across the internet, but I sort of think it's just depicting the show's new format of having flash-forwards. We've always been sort of split between island-time and not-on-the-island time.

Also, didn't Hurley get over the "I'm cursed because of the numbers" thing? Why does he say that when he gets off the island, he'll finally be free?

I wonder why the number six keeps popping up in these trailers? Any ideas?

It's at 1:07 in the trailer posted above.
