Tarot cards

I sometimes wonder if Carl Jung got his idea for archetypes from Tarot cards. Some of them are almost indistinguishable. They are basically saying the same thing.

The Wise Old Man and The Hermit both symbolize introspection and understanding. The Devil and The Shadow both symbolize agressiveness and anger. The Mother and The Empress are also very similar. They both symbolize nurturing.

Maybe it was just coincidence of maybe they did influence his way of thinking.

you know what's convenient about the jung archetype idea is that it applies to nearly everything in the first place

Some archetypes are more significant than others though, arent they? I mean it seems easy to find them but its not so easy to distinguish which hold a lot of value.

Jung is a waste of time. He wasn't really a psychologist with all of his mystical beliefs. It wouldn't surprise me if he believed in tarot cards.

It makes sense. He tied metaphysics in with psychology and believed in analyzing symbology.
