The Pineapple Express
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pineapple_Express The Pineapple Express is an upcoming comedy film expected to be released on August 8, 2008. The movie will star Seth Rogen and James Franco, who last worked together on the acclaimed television series Freaks and Geeks and the movie hit Knocked Up, along with producer Judd Apatow. The movie finished production in May of 2007, and is currently in a post-production status. Dale (Seth Rogen) is a process server who buys marijuana from a drug dealer named Saul (James Franco) because Saul sells him a new type of pot known as "Pineapple Express." Saul wants to be close friends with Dale, but Dale is only interested in purchasing weed from him. After Dale accidentally witnesses a murder committed by a corrupt police officer (Rosie Perez) and a gang leader (Gary Cole) and accidentally leaves behind some of Saul's weed, Dale and Saul go on the run from the gangsters. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walk_Hard Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is an upcoming comedy film expected to be released on December 21, 2007. The film received an R rating from the MPAA for sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use and language. Judd Apatow, who directed The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, is producing the film. Walk Hard stars John C. Reilly as a fictional musician named Dewey Cox, and Jenna Fischer as his backup singer and wife, Darlene. The movie is a parody of the biopic genre, and mainly parodies the 2005 film, Walk the Line, which documented the life of Johnny Cash. The story follows Dewey as he eventually gets caught up in the fame of rock and roll, where he ends up sleeping with 411 women, after which he marries three times, has 22 kids, 14 step kids, then gets addicted to—and kicks—every drug known to man. |
