i rail against the Big Ten so much harder than VT or any other ACC school. you just pick out what you want to be offended by. i mean, seriously. i don't know why get your panties in a wad when I say VT isn't that great. i say the same thing about the entire Big Ten, Big East, and the ACC. VT isn't special to me.

you know i like you, bardy. so it's not like i'm just trying to get you riled up.

it's not the computers, it's the final BCS rankings, 2/3rds of which are the human polls. VA tech will not be number 1 in the final poll, whether LSU or OSU wins.

they wouldn't, i don't believe. maybe if OSU wins, but VT and LSU are damn close to even in the computers (.960 to .950, i believe). so a win for LSU would nudge them ahead, most likely.

in 2003 i think... when lsu beat oklahoma, usc was given a share.

i think LSU is too far ahead of oklahoma in the bcs for them or anyone else to to jump ahead for a share of the title

that was the AP giving them that share though, wasn't it? computers can't cause a split championship. The AP can give it to whoever they feel like though.

they still, in the books, have a share of it. i think that was the last year that the AP had anything to do with the BCS

this has a link to all of the national champs as recognized by so and so:

interesting to see that the harris poll still had USC ahead of texas after the rose bowl.

i think the trophy in 2003 was still the 'AP such and such' trophy
