did you try it and make sure the A1 cell is formatted as time and entered as 9:30??? if it's after noon it can be entered as military time and the time format automatically converts it to AM and PM

no.
i'm putting it in as military time. i know the TIMEVALUE function converts times in that format to a decimal between 0 and 1, which you can then multiply by 24 to get the number of hours past midnight. but i don't wanna do it that way. |
