Talking So, Stephen Colbert....

If he actually enters the SC primaries, how do you think he'll do?

As long as this is entertaining, I don't think even he cares how he'll do.

which is why i think he'll do fairly well. the political climate this election is like none other we've seen. people are really getting tired of the two party system and have been using the internet to a great extent to overcome the limitations of it and of physically campaigning. and i think they were joking about john stewart being his running mate. whether or not that was serious, i dont know.

this is going to be a great election to watch, if he does well it says alot about the American people and how they view government... it will also could dramatically alter the way in which people run for office, although the interesting thing to watch with Colbert is what will his platform be (the Satirical Republican or his honest democratic views) and what he has to say...

He doesn't get enough viewers to make it far. If somebody from a show viewed by over 20 million people like American Idol ran for President they'd have a legit chance, but Colbert only gets 1-2 million.

i can't believe how many people are taking this seriously

he's using this to lampoon the whole process, not to win votes.

i suspect that if he got a lot of support, he would try to turn it into something bigger

of course, it would be hilarious if he actually were elected, because i don't think he would break character for the next four years
