Teams with a strugglin' power play would be wise to study this tape.

incredible sequence. the Canucks move the puck so well.
but why on earth did MacT have Greene and Souray on the PK?
i laughed when they'd go down to block a pass/shot and take so long to get up.

god, Souray was practically sitting on Roloson when that shot went in. Rolo was far enough out of the net, but Souray was basically providing a screen on the shot.

Nice way to rebound by the Canucks following that 8-2 beat down at the hands of the Flyers Wednesday night.

wait, what the hell was the score in the game? nhl.com scores says 4-1, but the game recap says 5-2, with torres and cogliano scoring.

woooo cogliano, btw.

Vancouver and Edmonton played eachother on back-to-back nights. Friday in Edmonton (5-2 Vancouver win), and Saturday in Vancouver (4-1 Vancouver win).

right, so the sidebar on nhl.com is just delayed or confused. and i got confused cause cogliano scored both nights. he could be the oilers first calder candidate since arnott.

Yeah, cogliano is looking really strong. gagner too, but he's so young. They should let him play the max allowable games and then send him down to the AHL where he can gain some confidence as a 1st line player. they need to give some other young guys (like Schremp) more time to play in the NHL. I'm still surprised that Smid is not playing as one of the top four players this year. He has decent skills and makes good decisions, but I guess it just goes to show how much good young defensive talent is on the team when Gilbert and Grebeshkov play, while Smid stays in the AHL.

Also, I think Pitkanen is going to flourish in Edmonton. He needed a fresh start with a new team to regain his confidence.

I think they're the most under-rated teams in the NHL.

As long as they can get their PP clicking and Stoll or Horcoff steps up as a #1 center, they'll be in good shape and should compete for a playoff spot.

i stopped watching after one minute of them being kept to the periphery and only managing one point shot. my rangers can do that no problem.

Another year of inconsistent TB Lightning goaltending The game vs. Fla last night was sad. Someone needs to tell St. Louis to shoot the puck down low instead of trying to force a feed to Andre Roy.

They can't send Gagne to the AHL, it's Edm. or London. The question is where's he going to develop better.

Speaking of NHL, anyone see McCabe score on his own goalie to win the game for the Sabres? Its even funnier when he almost scored on his own goalie to end the 3rd period - but he finally put it away with 8 seconds left in OT.

McCabe. Hellova player.

McCabe's a sleeper agent. I give him about 3 more games till the chip in his head activates and he goes on a killing spree.
