I'm not really allergic to those fruits, but they do have a very overpowering taste that simply ruins most fruit salads.

people only put honeydew and cantelope in fruit salads because they're cheap for the amount of fruit you get. i find that they spoil super fast, so i generally don't use them (unless i'm making a huge fruit salad)

i use raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, currants, cherries, apples, pears, plums, pineapple, kiwi, mango, papaya, grapes and chocolate-covered almonds.
