I love nature docs, Wings of Migration is pretty easy to come by, and worth checking out. i picked it up at a grocery store in lew if corn flakes and apples and it blew my mind. Koyaanisqatsi, and its sequels are pretty wild. All 4 movies movies have almost no narration, and just rely on stunning visuals....as such, i would often stick them on mute and listen to music when friends were over and we were getting fucked up.....like pink floyd and wizard of oz, if your fucked up enough you will begin to see connections and lyrical cues in anything.

I'm downloading manufactured landscapes now. it's suppsed to be very good. its about a canadian photographer whose been taking pictures of industrialization around the world for the last 30 years. you can get it at http://stage6.divx.com/Just-another-...red-Landscapes im not sure if you have to register or not

if you are in a bigger city theres ususally a place to view national film board movies. theyve got some excellent docs. sometimes they are still on reels and you get to project them...in st johns they only had a small selection at a library. next time im in toronto i'm hitting up the nfb viewing centre. there are couple movies im waiting for them to get tranbsfered to dvd to dvd to buy.

heres a comic strip thats pretty much a nature doc, that i quite enjoy http://www.methowconservancy.org/images/history2.jpg

Unfortunately (only for you) most of the best nature documentaries ever made will ALL involve The BBC Natural History Unit and David Attenborough. The man's a living legend.
