The Cougar's a pretty cool car, I'll give you that. V6 model by chance? My friend had a Probe, which I kind of think of as the Cougar's older brother, and it was honestly a tough little car. Third gear stopped working at about 90,000 miles, but aside from that I've never seen anybody go harder on a vehicle in my life and it stuck through it. Then again, the Probe was basically the MX6, but nonetheless, a cool car. I like the newer Cougars, and I wish they'd make a solid return.

I wonder how a Cobra could possibly go through tires prematurely.... Very fast car, absolutely have to admit that. I'd be doing burnouts on a daily basis if I owned one, so not much to say about premature tire wear.

Yeah, OLD Cougars are some of the best cars of their time, by far. Good looking and just great. I wish America made bad-ass cars like they used to. Then they switched to FWD and got all modernized and fuel efficient... pssshh. If Ford wants to save Mercury all they have to do is make a G35 competitor with the name Cougar and they've got an extremely hot car on their hands. Give it a V6 standard, Mustang V8 optional, problem solved. Nobody's going to buy a V8 Hyundai, but TONS of people will buy a RWD Cougar with a V8. The Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger are all going to be on the street again, just bring back the Cougar in style and the money would pour in.

i completely agree but i say make the v8 standard and the supercharged gt 500 motor or if they release the new modular big blocks make the the optional motor... that would be great.... i also think they need an SVT fusion coupe or focus with a high revving four or 6 cylinder to compete with the imports and cobalts

out of the new one the Camaro will be most interesting to see how it progresses with the price range/performance in comparison to the the standard corvette (i don't see it competing with the z06 that thing is ridiculous) where Ford has no real limit on how wheel high end mustangs like the GT 500 performance GM has to worry about performance and price interfering with Corvette sales and still try to compete with the mustang, for example will Camaro affiliates be allowed to offer a 700 horse power Camaro like the Shelby GT500 Super Snake? I don't think the Challenger will run into that issue with the Viper either
