Well since it was on an unlit street in the woods and it was fairly foggy, I didn't really want to get out of the car and search for a dying animal. And even if I had found it, what was I gonna do, beat it to death with my bare hands? Or maybe run over it?

I went back to the point of impact today and the deer is in fact dead, lying some ten feet off to the left of the road. I feel bad for killing it but the fucker did run into my car, not the other way around.
