like, REALLY bad. I used to get them with my period, once the week before, once the week during, and just for fun, one the week after. So then they put me on depo to eliminate my periods and control my hormones. I get the shot every three months. It works except for the last few weeks (like now) before I go back in to get my shot. Then I get them every few days.
does anyone else get them this bad? I have to come home from school or work, I can't see or talk, I can't walk...I spend the entire day in bed on prescription medicine that basically just numbs my entire body. they're so gross.

i suffer from them too. i first started getting them pretty young.. around 6 or 7 years old.
. inherited i suppose. my father and his father suffered from them. all my sibling do too. we're all on different meds, and share them amoungst each other usually. i've had migraines so bad i've cried in pain from em and been taken to the emergency room. i've gotten better with them, i can tell when they are setting in, and i know some foods and things that set them off. i've been to psychologists, acupuncturists (?), neurologists, chirobitches, allergists, blah blah blah. it's a life of hell. i really truly look forward to being dead. |

i never had them til i started my current job. the first time i remember having a migraine, i was talking to this paranoid-schizophrenic-alzheimer's woman. i saw all these sparkly bits floating in the periphery of my vision and it was like my mind and my mouth weren't connecting, i couldnt physically tell this woman why she needed to use a napkin. then it felt as if my brain started to throb and then lights got painful and soon sounds too. UGH. ive called out because of them and i NEVER call out. those days are spent huddled in bed with the drapes drawn and praying for it to pass soon. mhm.

Don't you hate those people who say they have a migrane, but really have a run of the mill headache?

I know I've never had an actual migraine, and for that I'm grateful.
