There are zero dancing studios here

Well, not exactly, there's ballet studios, and belly dancing... but I don't want to learn that. I want to learn how to ballroom dance, and swing dance... and stuff. And there's no one listed in the phone book, I can't find anyplace on line... does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, has anyone here ever taken dancing classes? Was it fun?

where are you? there's fred astaire school of dance places everywhere. i've been trained in lots of stuff. swing dancing has faded but i bet you could find places if you look hard enough. some gyms even have dance classes.

I know swing dancing isn't that cool anymore... I just think it would be fun to learn... or jazz dancing or something

I'm in Lubbock, Tx... middle of nowhere.

most ballet studios also teach jazz or modern. it might be hard to find a beginner class.

its not that swing isn't cool. its just not the craze it was. even my community center was having classes.

do you have a ymca by you? they might have classes. or a community college.
