No matter how attractive someone is, they're not going to look so hot up close. Thus, closing the eyes is necissary.

you close your eyes to intensify the satisfaction+sensation of the moment. closing your eyes allows you to focus more on the kiss and is one less thing going on in your mind.

sorta like someone who's blind, deaf, etc. they are able to concentrate on their other senses that much more.

the only time i'd have my eyes open during a kiss would be direct eye-eye contact, which would be a mind game that'd also add to the moment.

sometimes i open my eyes a bit, sometimes I just watch..

but yeah. sometimes having your eyes open is just wierd too, and poeple often have trouble with eye contact as is, so when kissing, it's even more so...

Because your eyes can't focus something that is so close to them. When you are kissing, you view a blurry image of the person you're kissing... Plus, closing your eyes makes you "see" using your lips and tongue
