I have a new pet plant!

A plant adopted me yesterday, and it's so pretty! It has all these pretty white flowers!

Except... I don't know how to care for plants, and I live in the basement. Am I supposed to show my plant lots of boobies? Should I talk to my plant? Should I lick it? Should I place it on top of my TV so it could be as close as possible to the window? Should I feed it beer?

I HAVE A NEW PET PLANT NAMED DESI!

put it near a window. go online and look up care instructions for whatever kind of plant it is. don't forget to water it!

I gave it some water. I was thirsty, so I thought Desi might be too.

keep the soil damp. some plants need water every day, other every other day. whenever you're near it, stick your fingers in the soil to see it if it feels dry. if you want it to be really healthy, go to the store and grab some all purpose or house plant fertilizer for it. also, when it gets warmer it will like to spend time outside on the windowsill or whatever.

How to Care for Desi the Plant:

If natural light is scarce or unavailable, place the Desi underneath a lightbulb. water Desi only when soil is dry (don't drown the Desi)... test by sticking your finger in the soil (like Nikkaaaa said). Planty food is good, especially if you don't have a lot of natural sunlight. When you aren't home, always have a platypus to babysit the Desi, because she gets into trouble.

I love my "plant."

It's a cactus. It sits on my desk at work. I'm the only one in the entire office that has a plant.
