So... all the guys in parliament. lemme see if this is correct: When you go to a vote, you just vote for a party, and that party is proportionally awarded seats based on how many votes it got, right? and the one that has most puts up the PM?
And how does your high court work? are they appointed by the PM like they are here?

Everywhere is split into constituencies, each of which is represented by one Member of Parliament. So what happens is you have a general election (or a by-election, if for some reason a new MP for a particular constituency needs to be found) where everyone votes for the candidate they want. Whoever gets the most votes, wins the election for that constituency and becomes the MP. In the House of Commons there is a seat for each constituency, so each constituenxy has a representative in there. Of course most MPs are affiliated with one of the 3 major parties, so in the end 1 party will end up holding more affiliated seats than others. And then they win, and get to run things
