yoshi is getting neutered tomorrow

the vet told me to take away his food at 9 pm. i have to take away his water when i wake up. he goes in at 8:30 am and he has to stay overnight!

so tell me, exactly what happens when he goes for the operation?

am i allowed to stay with him?

poor baby!

in case anyone doesn't know, yoshi is a kitty.

it's a simple operation (much less complex and risky than spaying, which is done to a female cat) where the tesicles are sliced open and removed and sewed back shut... his bum will be shaved and funny looking for a while. they don't usually let you stay with him, because surgeries are done later in the day, they just like to take him in the morning. the overnight thing is just so they can watch him and let the drugs wear off while he is in their care. he might be in a little bit of pain afterwards, but not much and he will be back to himself in about a week, maybe less.

my parents got my cat, frank, deballed when he was about two years old. he was never the same after that...

Poor cat(cute name btw). Is there a reason this needs to be done? I'm not a pet person (but being a guy) anything where the word "deballed" can be used, better be very necessary.

Its a very minor procedure. half the time its not even done in the surgery room. they pluck the fur off the balls (which is fun once you get the hang of it!), cut them open....tie the tubes (vas deferens ?) in knots....cut off the actual ball part then sew it back up. an experienced vet can open a ball and do it in a couple of minutes.

When my mom got her cat neutered, it came home all drugged up still. He would walk around and fall over and bump into things... just for a few hours though. It was kind of cute actually although I did feel for the poor guy. Oh ya, I think cats are less aggresive after being neutered. Wouldn't you be if you had no balls?:erm

my cats suck now.
my friend mike has a cat named fag(which is especially funny when the vet sends letters and xmas cards) the i have honestly never ever witnessed n knockedup. baby fags have taken over the town.
