Default I love the Little League World Series (and not because of the little boys)

It's like a mini version of baseball with freakazoid kids who are way, way more talented than they should be. That kid from the Walpole, MA team's catch to end the game the other night was fantastic. And the pitcher from the Lubbock, TX team was fucking sick. How they throw breaking balls and offspeed pitches like that at age is beyond me. Back when I was in Little League, nobody threw hard enough to throw a real curveball. This kids are painting corners with sliders and pulling strings with changeups. Not to mention the fact that they all throw 65-70 mph. From 40 ft. away that's like a 100 mph fastball.

i dont like nascar but thats funny.

i kinda think all kid sports are bad for the kids.

I love the NFL but hate any coverage on high school kids, besides this one compilation video of noel devine. he rocks.

I feel the same way Nate. I remember Little League vividly and most of these kids are freakishly talented. It angers me to see the kids throw breaking pitches though as they are destroying their elbows and won't go much further than HS without serious complications. If I had a son with promising talent it would be nothing but fastball/changeup until he was at least 16.

I'm hoping this is trollish statement. Youth sports are pivotal in the development of many young people. Where else can you learn teamwork, communication, how to win and how to lose at such a young age?

america is getting fatter and i think anything promotes going outside is a good thing.

At least in little league baseball you get an entire uniform and not just a color to sport.

er...i meant more or less the way it is broadcast on tv...the explotation involved. they should be able to play just to play, not to have the added pressure of everyone watching on ESPN 2

Little League is inferior to Connie Mack.

The Little League World Series is alright, the parents in the stands with the "my son is the greatest!" attitude are not.

Hey Eulogy, I've got a question concerning NASCAR that I've never been able to figure out by watching Sportscenter. What's the difference between the Nextel Cup and the Busch Series? Besides the fact that Busch races are typically on Saturday and Cup races on Sunday.

the busch series is like the minor leagues. in theory, it's sort of a stepping stone for developing drivers. those who perform well in the busch series can use that success to get a nextel cup ride for themselves, oftentimes within the same organization they raced with in the busch series. unfortunately, in my opinion, a lot of nextel cup regulars race in the busch series and just destroy all the non-nextel cup drivers. carl edwards is leading the busch standings by like a million points. and kevin harvick did the same thing last year. but the other side of that is that fans probably wouldn't show up as much if no nextel cup guys drove in it.

probably more info than you wanted but whatev

No, thanks, great explanation. If you didn't go into detail there, then I still would've wondered "Well if it's the so-called minor leagues of NASCAR, why are the big name Cup guys in it?"

and oh yeah, busch races are shorter, and the cars are a bit slower.
