Arrow do you think its feasible to sell illegal stuff on ebay?

not that i am or anything, but it occurs to me that you could pretty easily set up a system or code representing another kind of item, ie you could post a listing for, i dunno, item X, but really its drugs/weapons/other contraband and noone's the wiser? eDrugz.

also, how do you know if someone is buying the illegal item or the item you're using to represent that illegal item.

you'd have to be offering an item of similar value. it's the only way to send a credible signal to would be contraband-by-code buyers

hmm, well in response to lds i suppose you could just devise this secret code for very exclusive "underground" groups to know amongst each other right? i mean we've all heard about stuff like trucks and vans being marked with a certain inconspicuous design for illegal shipments. in response to mx, maybe buyers would have to contact sellers prior to the listing being put up, ie once they agree on the transaction the listing will be put up, the buyer "buys it now" and nobody else gets a shot?

well since you have to have an e-mail address to use ebay it would be easier to just run an EXCLUSIVE UNDERGROUND MAILING LIST

the reason auction sites work is because they don't require that interconnectedness between buyers and sellers. you just don't have a mind for commerce, isle

It shouldnt be, to keep non-code buyers from bidding.
