Default Ear phones

Could someone please recommend me some sturdy ear phones? I seam to go through cheap ones in like 1-2 months nowadays and im not particularity rough with them. When i say ear phones i mean the generic crappy ipod variety:

I'm looking to spend about 50 Australian dollars (which is 40 us according to a converter). I ask mainly because of the fact im poor and don't want them to break.

Are you looking strictly for the earbud type? Because I owned these awhile back (ended up losing them in a wreck), and they sound really great for a cheap pair...They were also super comfortable since they just kinda sit on top of your ears and don't weigh anything:

Yeah i've got a decent pair of those for home/computer use but i find them a bit cumbersome to lug around all day, especially because they make stealth listening a bit hard; but thanks for the suggestion anyway .

If you can jump to $80 you can get the Sennheiser CX300 which have great isolation and good low end, and better level handling than the iPod stock ones. http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite...transid=500830

Otherwise there's the Sennheiser MX400 or 500. I had... it was either the 500's or an earlier, very similar model for a long time and they're slightly deficient in bass compared to the CX, and the top's not quite as good as the current model iPod stock headphones, but they do hold up for a long time, I had them for something like 4 years?

Don't buy at JB Hifi, prices overblown, usually a 50 buck set of headphones goes for about 70, 75 there.

My girlfriend got Bose earbuds for xmas last year. They are actually really great sounding, best earbud type headphones ive heard. Sorta expensive though at $100.

I like the sony headphones that wrap around the back of your ears and then have a bar across the back.

Thanks, it seems they all have a 2 year warranty as well. Would you happen to know anything about this? Like is it valid in Australia, i've searched around my self and can't find a definitive answer.

Also you know anything about these ones?

Which ones were you trying to send me the link to, that just goes to the main Sennheiser category.

The warranty is totally valid. It's through Synnex... Syntex... I forget exactly - but they send them off to the same place, you just gotta find someone willing to send them for you. It makes no difference to them where you originally bought it.

the only sennheiser headphones i've heard so far that didnt seem value for money were the little round ones that fold up.
