you know how i was going to move to melbourne?

i lost my nerve.

then decided to move to sydney.

then lost my nerve again.

then this morning i got up, realised i hate perth and decided i had to go. Melbourne and Sydney are too big. Darwin and Adelaide are shitholes. Hobart is too cold. By process of elimination we are left with:

Brisbane.

And so i went out at lunch and bought a one way ticket. 12 days i'm moving somewhere completely new. i know nobody. i'll have 600 dollars. i have no fucking clue what i'm going to do.

if i had to move from melbourne it would be to brisbane. good choice.

i know from when i've been up there with mates that you can get weekly accomodation for a little over 100 a week at some backpackers near the city. well at least you could back in 05 during the BC tour. should get you through till you find a place.

although, you do know the girls anywhere else you go won't be the same as in perth?

Keep us updated, dude. Seriously sounds like you really are living out a fantasy that a lot of people have-- just getting up and moving. Is that 600 dollars before or after you get a new place to stay?

how old are you? i know a friend in brisbane who when i was up there 2 weeks ago was looking for a roomate.

thats 600 dollars period. 2 weeks pay. its piss all but either my one vague contact will be a dude and let me stay on her couch or i'll stay at backpackers. 6 weeks should be well and truly long enough to find a job and a house.

in all honesty i'm 17. but, and i hate to sound like a nob, if he's looking for degrees of experience i've lived in sharehouses before, i've been working to survive for a year and a half. i've done the traps a fair bit. i wont be there till september 2nd and i probably wont be able to pay bond until i get a job. i'll accept couches in exchcange for a bit of cash and stuff done.

she is 30, and has 1 housemate at the moment but they have a spare room they are looking to fill too. big age gap, so i don't like your chances, but i can and will ask for you.

i have a handfull of mates and some family in bris, if your really stuck let me know, i'm sure someone could find something. brissy is pretty laid back, most people are pretty easy going and helpfull there. If it wasn't for the music here in melb i'd probably move to bris too, thought about it many times, especially during winter.
