i know, i know, google, but i've tried and i feel like i'll be reading through guides for days before i find the few tweaks i'm looking for.
first one shitting me is: bookmarks - default left click opens them in the current tab, i want it to open in a new tab. |

you know that you can middle click any link or bookmark and it opens in a new tab right? click in the mouse wheel. id just do that, but if you really want to use left click this probably has that https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/158
if not there are a bunch of other tab preferences extensions |

haha. i knew about the middle click thing on links, didn't even think of using it in a menu.
that'll do fine, cheers. ok tweak number 2: how do i (what code to i need) to change the font colour of the main menu (file, tools, bookmarks etc.)? i'd rather tweak code using the chrome/content files and about:____ pages rather than using addons if possible. |

while i'm waiting i'm just gonna throw number 3 out there too:
when you type a word/phrase into the address bar and hit enter, it googles what you typed. all good, but it does it in the current tab. can you make it default to a new tab? the same as the google toolbar does, but i've removed that to save space. edit - thanks tc! gonna try it out now ![]() edit 2 - works great.
