the return of her and piper could really contribute to the rawification of the far superior smackdown brand. piper's pit is 10 minutes more talk time on smackdown, and i don't see sable bringing the intense in-ring action i expect on thursday nights. with paul e. dangerously reglegated to petty consultation and mcmahon yes-men once again in power, i fear that before long the two shows will be indistinguishable.

what's made smackdown so fucking good since the split has been that it was light on backstage stuff and heavy on the in-ring product (at least relative to raw). sable vs. torrie, piper vs. hogan. who's willing to bet the airtime these fueds gets is taken away from the cruiserweights (and if that's not enough time, the just might have to start pecking away at the talented heavyweights)?

other things that sucked about tonight's smackdown: undertaker destroying rey j (and on sunday take won a handicap match and rey lost his match, way to build the cruiserwights, guys!), setup for taker/jones vs. the fbi (let's see: we have a guy who never loses plus one useless lactating aussie freakjob versus the guys who have NEVER won a match despite the fact that they always have a 3-on-1 advantage, oooohhh the suspense!)
