What can you tell me about Mp3 head units?

I've looked for reliable reviews online that compare a bunch of them but i couldnt find any. Links?

How easy is it to navigate through the tracks? What bit rates can they play? Hows the sound quality, etc etc etc

i don't know witch ones are the best. but i would think that going through the tracks is just like a cd player.

and you can get different ones that hold different amounts of mp3s. so it can play any bit rate but you goin to be able to have less tracks.

sound quality would depend on the bit rate i would think.

i dunno. im drunk n' bored.

the one my roommate has uses a d-pad in which the up/down flips through folders, and the left/right shuffles tracks within the folder. the seek time is noticably slower than w/ a typical audio cd and the fast forward takes ages to get going. i don't think there's any regulation as to bitrate.
