Thumbs up New anime film "Spirited Away"

It was simply the most creative movie I've seen in a long time. Myazaki's movies typically outshine Disney's in this respect, but I think this one is even better than his others. God damn, it just ROCKED. The characters were good, the story was good, and there were some parts in it that were so funny i literally almost fell out of my chair laughing.

not for little kids, though. kind of weird in parts.

It's perfectly fine for children. You were probably insulted by the bathing scene in "Totoro"...

I haven't seen the other posts. There was a general anime one made by you I think for SC's avatar.

it depends on what you mean by suitable for children. To me, there were lots of very grotesque images that would stay with the child for a long time after seeing that movie. It would distract them from the non-grotesque parts of the movie and hinder their overall enjoyment. That's how I felt when I was a child, anyway. Maybe I was just a fucking wimp, but to be honest I feel i was pretty moderate in that sense.
